Should I break up with my boyfriend for starring at women?

sometimes I see my boyfriend staring at attractive women. But he seems to love me and care a lot about me. I also feel the same. I’ve spoken to him about it to him. What should I do?

Leave it to the men to gaslight as hard as they are in these comments🙄. Anon, you aren’t wrong. I don’t believe a single guy here would be fine with having their partner openly stare at other women. Not just glimpse, glance or notice, STARE. Being offended by that is not an insecurity, it is taking notice to blatant disrespect, and she’s entitled to that.


Would I leave a relationship over this? At this age, and knowing what I know now, yes I probably would. I think about the dynamic of my relationship now and this just would not happen. I’d never openly stare at other men and I never so much as catch my fiancé looking at other women. We aren’t blind to someone else looking good but we don’t have interest in giving them that sort of attention.

As for me personally, I could not care any less if my wife stares. She knows the difference between fantasy and reality. So I have no worries on the matter.

I’m sorry but for the average person a celebrity crush will never be anything other than that. Your wife could only ever even hope to be in the same room or take a picture with Jason, let alone have him be any sort of threat to you.

My comment is pertaining to the average passerby. Some woman you find attractive while out doing some day to day thing with your wife. Not a celebrity. So if you’re saying that you and her could be out to dinner then mid conversation she stops to stare openly at the waiter before turning her attention back to you, and you’d be A-OK with that, then that is your choice.

I would personally never do that to my fiancé, and he wouldn’t do that to me. So for you to suggest there’s some double standard within my relationship is actually quite presumptuous. Especially after I specifically noted in my comment that neither of us do that.

You're not wrong. I personally look longer than a glance, when I see a shirt I like and want to read it, and this is at anyone lol not just women. Or the person looks so strange that they belong in a side show attraction. Oh and I look when I'm curious about their ink.

My wife notices women before I do, and she points them out. She actually tested this once, pointed out a woman with big breasts and she asked me what I think (big meaning H cups.) and the first thing I said was "god her back must kill her".
