Shouldn’t I break up with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have a group of male and female friends. Lately, the females have been acting very rude to me by not inviting me to places, talking over me or not interacting with me.
Their behavior has really upset me and I have been telling my boyfriend everything and he sees most of their remarks and behavior. Yet, he never stood up for me and he still jokes with them and talks like normal.

I told him I needed him to be supportive he said he can’t be rude to them and this is issues that only concerns the females and not him. So I told him I wanted a break from him and then he started to say he can’t accept their behavior and started talking to some of the girls saying they have been rude to me. He says he didn’t do it to win me back but it’s something that had been bothering him for a long time.
Isn’t it too late now to react? Now that college is over and we won’t see this group of friends? Should a boyfriend be more supportive towards his girlfriend?

I would move on. He only wanted to stick up for you when you wanted to walk away, and his initial reasoning of why he didn’t want to was pure BS then.

A guy should always have his girls back no matter what. He wanted to avoid the confrontation but he still should had stuck up for you and be like don't talk about my girlfriend like that.
