The choice should be obvious... shouldnt it?

OK so my exams are real soon and I want to quit smoking/drinking and stuff while they're on.

the only thing is it will be quite hard seeing all my friends still doing it, and I need the support of my boyfriend to make sure I can.

i would only be asking him to do it for like, 2 months.. I didn't want to make him choose but I can't stay with him if he's gonna be doing it.

i would have thought the choice was obvious, save a year and a half relationship and quit weed (for him) for 2 months, or the opposite.

he says he shouldn't have to choose, I got really angry because I think that's pathetic, and now were on the verge of a break up...

i don't wanna paint him as a bad person, I just know he's weak and will do it if all his friends are.

so what do you all think? a part of me feels that if he couldn't easily choose between me or illegal substances then I don't wanna be with someone like that...

Someone once told me that I have to get rid of my video game systems if I wanted to be with her because she never liked video games, and I said "there's the door". If someone basically demanded that you stop doing something or liking something that you have grown accustomed to doing and liking, you wouldn't be looking at the "benefits" because there would be none that you would see. He had the balls to tell you NO, and you should be proud of him instead of you walking all over him. If a man tells you to stop wearing the style of clothes that you like, eat the foods that you like, watching what you watch, or to get rid of your pet then you would rebel to the highest and I wouldn't blame you for doing it. Why? Because it's a part of who you are, it's what help build your character, and it's a part of you, simple as that.

Relating drugs with a human is totally lame .. so if the person who gives up on you and not on the drugs .. it would be a shame to even trust that fellow.

I love him and I trust him. he's never done anything to harm me, he doesn't even do it that often the only problem is when he's with his friends they always do it, and he's pretty weak minded... but your right, I am so angry and upset he couldn't make (what I would think is) an easy decision...
