Guys, Would you be mean enough to date a woman taller than you?

Question

Here’s me as a 6’4” slim woman and my friend is 5’1” and petite. Most guys flirt with her and walk right pass me and ignore me. Guys always hit it her but I always get ignored. Why do most guys ignore tall females and hit on short and average height women?

Dont sugarcoat it. Be blunt. I can take it.

Girls like guys 8" taller and guys like girls 3" shorter, are the official stats. It seems to be more than western cultural preferences and more a strong universal guy gal preference.

i see evolution in strong universal preferences. A taller male has greater capability to protect a female and that explains the female preference. A shorter female possibly engenders more protective responses in a male. In any case sexual dimorhism is common among numerous species and sexual selection of the cutest is a good strategy.

Sadly tall girls and short men are a bit out of luck in the face of these preferences.

Yea. I'm 6' and I like to think I have a build that lends itself well to being with a woman who's taller than I am bust because I have big hands and a sturdy frame.

I think most guys fall into two camps, one is that they're not attracted to taller woman which in the case of two people who've told me that, I felt like it was very clear they were intimidated by the thought of having sex with a physically taller woman.

The other category would be guys who are intimidated namely intimidated from a place of knowing most woman want a guy who's taller.

I'd ideally prefer a girl that's shorter than me. It translates better in the bedroom and the overall dynamic of the relationship physically. But if a girl is very feminine, is physically attractive to me, and compatible personality-wise, I'd happily date a girl that's 6'2

I don't really care about height, so yes I'd be fine dating someone taller than me.

I think many men are actually fine dating women taller than them and it's the same with women being willing to date shorter guys. That said, men have an instinctual drive to protect, so it's natural that they are more attracted to shorter women. For some guys though, I'm sure it's an ego issue. Women also have an instinctual desire to be protected, making them more attracted to taller men. It's just a biology thing

If I was single again I'd be ok with it. It's the person inside the meat sack that matters.

The last few years have literally changed my body in ways that can't be reversed. Lost a leg and part of the other foot. Three months in a coma. Covid - twice. Kidney failure - acute and chronic. Liver failure - thankfully only acute. There's no way to reverse some of the damage. I don't have the physical strength I did - or should.

Physical appearance can change in a heartbeat. Height, weight, pretty much anything but melanin levels. If the guy's worried about your height he's not the right guy.

Most men find women taller than them as unappealing. a woman is supposed to be shorter than her man (and that includes when she's in heels) so if you wear heels and are tall you're at a even bigger disadvantage. Luckily for you tall men prefer tall women (who are shorter than them) so any man even half a inch taller than you will likely be extra interested in you. Some men do have a fetish for women taller than them so you have a good shot with that community to although at your highest you may still end up being too tall for some of them too.

Tall women are masculine, petite women are feminine, men tend to prefer feminine women, it's hard to understand? I don't know if woman being taller than me is a dealbreaker to me, but I sure prefer to date a short woman who not make me look ridiculous.

Is the tall woman delusional and thinks that she can actually beat the majority of men in a real fight?

Also, does she have a normal face that is proportional to her body, or does she have a noticeably large face/head? (That is one of the traits I don't like that some large people have.)

In theory if she showed interest but yeh we ignore tall Because assumed she will reject us for not being 6 feet tall.  I only tried once got rrejected. I Read a bunch in dating apps n ignore tall too.

I wouldn't, but tons of guys will. Everyone has their preferences. If you're slim, you can definitely pull some good looking tall guys though. You just better not be living in Asia...

I see how some guys would assume you'll reject them, though, as there is this idea that a girl will never like a boy who is shorter than her.

Besides, there is a negative feedback loop on insecurity. You don't get hit on as often, so you become less confident, and other people assume you're an introvert who doesn't like attention.

It doesn't bother me unless she is uncomfortable with me being shorter than her.
And as your situation is concerned it's just that they are insecure about their height.
Men have the natural habit of being dominant evolutionarily. You look more dominant that's why they avoid you.

I used to date a girl 6'1-1/2 and asked out a beach volleyball girl who was like 6'5, who said she would go out with me if she were straight. Would not bother me if a lady were a few inches taller than my 6'2.

I've never been mean to a woman simply because she's taller than me. And her height wouldn't bother me one bit. I'll never stop her from wearing heels. I personally prefer dating women on the taller side.
