Well you date somebody who you have attraction to and relationships shouldn’t be one sided. It shouldn’t be that someone’s putting in all the effort getting little to nothing back. It’s honestly better to be alone then with someone you’re not happy with. At the end of the day if there just isn’t anyone you really feel attracted to just wait… You’ll know when you see it.

That’s a personal choice. But the difference between men and women is very different. So if you prefer one over the other then just be true to yourself and be happy. BUT the one thing I recommend is not to make a decision based purely on gender alone. One of my biggest complaints about lesbian women is them saying “that it doesn’t matter a persons gender I’m in love with the person” but then counting me out because of my gender.

  I’m not as excited as I was when I was a teenager when it comes to men. I don’t find them interesting and I don’t admire them anymore. It’s like I have matured way too much, and it changed my attraction.

  There isn't much distance between the two, really. With the latter you're fighting your hormones a little but everyone has to do that pretty much constantly anyway - it is the most basic standard of self control.
  
  The only risk is if you end up regretting it. There is no way to know what future you will be thinking about all of this and trying too hard right now to control those future thought really just means you think the risk you will regret it is high.
  
  So, my advice if you're looking for any is to abstain from men but don't build an identity around it - that way if you abruptly change your mind 30 years from now you won't have any pride or reputation on the line.
