Should I text him?

Question

So I matched with a guy on tinder and we were having good conversation. On Thursday I asked him if he wanted to go to the movies he said yes and we decided on Sunday but we got side tracked before looking up movie times and it got late. He texted me on Friday morning for a bit but then left me on read. I got this text from him on Saturday night. . . We haven't talked since. .
I would really like to talk to him but I don't know if I should reach out again or just wait?

I think it would be best if you left him some space. Maybe send a text telling him you are interested but recognize that he is going through some stuff he might want solitude for. Tell him you are available & that you are going to lay off casual texting until you hear from him. Tell him you'll check back in 5 days or so. If I was going through the wringer and a woman I was interested in sent me a note like that I would be impressed with her 1) sensitivity, 2) lack of clinginess, & 3) maturity all points in your favor. Maybe try something besides a text.

The man is serious about being totally decent. In that case, he will absolutely not frown upon a second text from you enquiring, especially when it's been several days, go go go :)

I’m trying to read between the lines of what he’s saying, and whether it’s true or not, it’s as if he’s trying to let you know that right now isn’t a good time for him to prioritize a woman. The fact that Wednesday is nearly over and you haven’t heard from him only adds to my suspicion that he was trying to end things. Of course I could be wrong and if you reach back out it’s really not that big of a deal. If you do though, I’d say to approach the situation knowing that he may not be interested in progressing.

Just wait, if it is heavy stuff then let him support her as long as it takes.  You can always check back in 1 1/2 months from now just to ask how she is doing to be polite.

Contacting him shouldn't be an issue, he seems to be genuine, communicate with the person, I'm sure y'all can agree on something when the time is right, I don't see a reason to not contact him if he gave you a valid excuse to his behavior.
