Guys, is a rebound girl ever as meaningful or important as the ex who left him?

I think someone dating someone with the intention of a rebound is not dating for the right reasons. Dating somebody should be to build a genuine connection with another human being, not just to get over a ex, make a ex jealous, and other reasons such as that.

Sometimes it’s better to take time and allow yourself to grieve the relationship and when you find yourself genuinely attracted to another person then that’s how you know to proceed.

People who do not date for the right reasons often don’t find themselves in meaningful relationships. It’s not to say that genuine feelings can’t develop at times but at the end of the day. If you don’t feel a connection to someone genuinely you shouldn’t be together.

She could be. A few rebounds I’ve had were girls who I had feelings for or was actually in a relationship w. But she turned into an ex because maybe she was crazy, unhinged but I still had major feelings for her. But in the end I knew it could never work because of how mentally unstable she was. As much as I wish I could fix her that could never happen. So you would say yes that one main rebound in my life was a girl who was my first choice overall.

Well if she is doing way better and he feels way better with the rebound girl, then I don't see how it can not be meaningful. It also depends on the circumstances, if he's still in love with her and stuff like that. But it happens a lot that people fall for the rebound person because they have more to offer.

His ex left him and he seems to me as though he’s still got big feelings there for her. From experience I’ve never had as good sex as I have with a long term partner in comparison to a fling or rebound. The sex is always better in a relationship I think
