Would you date someone who was a bully in school?

I've been dating this guy for 4 months and things are starting to get abit more serious. I met him down the pub one night and he was very funny and charming.

All his friends have told me he's so smitten with me and I'm all he ever talks about now. He's a very funny guy who has no filter and says things how they are which I liked to begin with.

For abit of background on me I work with learning disabled adults one to one. I work with 2 girls around my age full time katie is on Monday to Tuesday and Daisy is Wednesday to Friday.

I love my job and I'm basically being paid to be these two girls best friend. I take them out for dinner and do some shopping. Make sure they have everything they need and are happy.

I've been told in the past not to form emotional attachments with my girls because things can quickly change like that with there situations but I see these girls as my little sisters.

Both the girls have seen me out with my boyfriend and asked me his name and they told me the bouth know him from school and wasn't very nice to people like them and bullied them in school. This broke my heart as I was also bullied in school and I really thought he was better than that. He told me he was no angle in school but bully never crossed my mind.

I know Katie and Daisy wouldn't lie. They literally can't. I hate bullies but I understand people grow and change from who they were in school.

I confronted him about it and he got a little annoyed and he was just trying to joke with them and it was abit of banter. The girls gave me examples of things he did in school and I can totally understand why that wouldn't be funny from there side.

He got angry and said I was being stupid bringing stuff up from the past when he was a kid.

I asked him if he'd be willing to meet with the girls and try and make friends but he was too worried what his mates would think.

He's made me really angry and disappointed with him and I'm seriously considering ending things

I guess it depends if he's changed, people grow and people change, bullying for the most part comes from personal issues and it can be insecurity, anger about something else and for the most part comes from their own life and they bully to make themselves feel better or to feel bigger than what they normally are, it's not a healthy way to release such situations but it happens and if he's matured and broke out of that shell and is a better person now, I don't see why how he was when he was a teenager (which is the most emotional age range) should be the only form of judgement he gets from others, if he treated you well and doesn't behave like a bully then it's possible he's changed, a good thing would be to apologize to those people he's bullied in the past and stand to his mistakes.

There is a percentage of people who change. But these people publicly apologize for what they did in childhood or youth. Judging by everything, he does not regret anything... I think he is not worth you dating him
