Is a 28cm (around 11 inch) height difference too much?

I’m in a talking stage with one of my classmates. I’m 165cm (5’5”) and he is 193cm (6’4”). We are both interested in each other and flirt constantly. One of my friends told me that he is too tall for me and our height difference looks weird and awkward but I like him a lot and if the time comes want to date him. Is an 11 inch height difference too much?

That would be too much difference for me. But most of the women in my life are on the taller side. I'm sure I'd feel differently if I were around shorter women.

I'm 6'2 and have dated as short as 4'10. That is 16 inches and it was fine.
