What's worth examining about it?
One either finds it hot or not. And yeah you could dig into all the reasons why and all it always has a psychological reason/s but isn't the simplicity of someone finds it hot while someone don't self explanatory and not really gonna change anyone's minds.

I find it hot which is not going to change, but logically I am poor and even if I was rich I wouldn't bother with it really because I spend my money on other things.

The mayor, for instance. Back in the early 90s, his son, who had been married for about 2 years, was involved in an accident at work, and his neck was broken. Paralyzed from the neck down. He was about 4 or 5 years older than me. The mayor's wife was going through something, and they soon discovered it was alzhiemers after she wrote a check for 10k at their door to a stranger. That's why I wondered if maybe he, the mayor, when returning from visiting the two at the same nursing home, didn't just run under that 18-wheeler trailer decapitating himself on purpose.
