Do men ever create fake aliases when trying to pick up women?

Question

I’m referring to men picking up women for short term/casual relationships. If so, how far will men go? Will they make up fake accents, names and occupations? Will they lie about sexual experience or their age? If so, why?

It happens , and sadly those people are demented people that need some serious mental help or some shit , Females’ do this shit as well , why finding true love on the internet is hard to come by , not saying it can’t happen , but a slim chance of it does. The internet is filled with scammers and catfish, so it’s better to meet someone in public over trying to meet someone off of the internet , if you meet someone off the internet , be wise about it before you actually meet that person in person. If I talk to a girl on the internet and she is unable to video chat me or makes excuse like her camera isn’t working on her phone , she is more than likely blowing smoke up my ass and I will eventually block her and no longer waste my time with her. Someone that actually likes you and wants to get to know you isn’t going to hesitate to prove to you who they are. So watch out from those kind of people are the internet. Just be wise about it. I would never meet a girl off the internet that couldn’t prove to me she is legit. When I hear stories of people that do? I think they are the biggest dumb ass on this planet , like are you that desperate to not have common sense? It just blows my mind on how stupid people can be.

It seems that you have not been on GaG for a long time because otherwise you would have realized since a while that at least 50% of the female accounts here (pink) are owned by desperate males attempting to initially slide into a girl's DM and later, after the victim has been hooked, the process of sexting, asking for nudes and the rest will follow.

How I know? I have had several attempts by fake females to sext and send nudes. As simple as that.

Thus, let me give you this piece of warning. Never accept any DM from anyone on GaG you don't know for a long time and be cautious about those anonymous male and female accounts. They seldom are who they make you believe they are.

I myself have never used dating apps but im in a Facebook group for my city called “are we dating the same guy” women post men they started seeing off of dating apps to see if there’s and “tea” or red flags. quite a few men that get posted in the group get flooded with comments by women saying they’ve matched with them before with different ages and names. Sadly it’s more common than it should be

The only person I have known to do this was a girl. If a guy showed interest in her she would test him by messaging him from her alias as a svelte young blonde. It was counter productive.

I'm sure some guys create aliases as well as girls. The problem will always be that to have sex there has to be physical contact and there will be a reality check at that point.

Someone from every identity group has done everything you can think of. This one doesn't seem like a common thing from my experience. I've had multiple girlfriends pretend to be other girls or exes on social media multiple times, so I can imagine you have had a guy do something like this to you too.

I think part of the answer is in the fact that to a guy, there's nothing that far about doing that stuff.

Don't get me wrong, usually the guys who do this are younger, they might have low self esteem or are a trashy type. But I did stupid stuff like that when I was a kid just because I was on vacation and wanted to see if it would work.

Most guys who approach woman put about the same amount of thought into it most people use buying pre-made sushi.

Men do lie more than women on average and I think creating false aliases to pick up women for short term isn't always the case but does happen.

I girl I was dating told me her ex told her he was 28 (she was 23 at that time) and then it later turned out he was 33 when she happend to see his pass.

It seems like it would be a lot of trouble though. You'd have to get another phone, make a new email address, maybe rent an apartment short-term.
