According to an opinion article I read about the VP debates it said that JD Vance having a beard can be positive to some, reading as strength and competence. But to others, especially women, it can be negative, conveying aggression and opposition to feminist ideals.

It seems to be a modern cliche. Too many guys think face fur makes up for having a face like a smacked arse. Don't get me wrong, it looks good if you've the face to pull it off but all too often you just look like your looking for a park bench for the night.

I don't know about most women, I can only speak for myself, but I prefer clean shaven men. Some men can rock a neatly-groomed beard, others can't.

let's see... out of the 10 woman I know the most well, including my ex-girlfriends...

one of them really REALLY liked beards, that was my ex-girlfriend

2 of them said they would be "okay" with it, IF I had it...

eight out of 10 said they really like when I have a bit of a stubble, because it does feel very nice, but just that, not a full a beard

and two of them have said they do not like any facial hair at all

none of them likes a moustache, lol

Most people are average looking.

As a consequence, most men are average looking.

Above average looking men typically have great bone structure, features, symmetry, harmony, dimorphism, etc.

Average looking men are not above average looking so they don't typically have as large of an amount of those positive traits.

This could be a combination of many things/flaws. The biggest ones being jaw width, type, & facial thirds.

If an average looking man has a well sculpted beard that balances out certain ratios/hides certain flaws, they will look better than they would look if they didn't have the well sculpted beard that balances out their certain facial ratios/hides certain flaws.

This is practically why well sculpted beards are so common in the first place. If you have great bone structure, the beard doesn't have to be as well sculpted.

A short, stubby beard is OK, it can be incredibly sexy. But it needs to be well kept. Some men are more attractive when they grow a beard, others not so. Can't really tell where the difference is.

It's not for me. I think they look better and smarter without. Also hate the feeling when kissing, or getting spiked or tickled by it when they go down. So a big no from me.

Some women do. I haven't dated a man with a beard and I suspect, maybe, it has something to do with it being in-the-way, somehow. I mean, if you eat with a beard stuff gets stuck in it. It has to be trimmed and softened or else it makes it hard to consider kissing the man. Usually, men with a beard are seen to be older than they might be and some women don't find that attractive. I can't say I do or I don't find it attractive, depends on the man and maybe how it's styled and taken care of.

Beards tend to age guys up by at least a few years and usually the beard hair isn't soft like head hair and isn't nice to touch. But im only speaking for myself and not most women
