Tony really like her, and she should like him. Had she given him a chance she could learn to like him.
It would have been less distressing if she had been honest instead of lying. Had she been honest and not pretended to be lesbian he would have known he could have a chance to get her interested, instead of thinking she likes girls and therefor he have no chance.
