Are people actually lying about how they feel about gay and/or trans people?

I see posts (memes) and even kids shows like SpongeBob and Mickey Mouse where they display opposite-sex couples kiss, but if they display same-sex couples or even if it's just two brothers, they'll cringe and say "they're spreading an agenda."

These are the very same people who say, "It's none of my business. I don't care what you are."

They are the same people who likely cringed at interracial couples even if that wasn't part of the commercial's agenda.

Even if someone doesn't like the portrayal of gay or trans characters in shows marketed for kids, they can still say it's none of their business and mean it. What a person does in their own bedroom has no bearing on their life. I can only speak for myself here, but I think the thing the majority of people have an issue with is the gratuitous gay or trans characters. Those characters that have no depth or storyline other than their sexuality. The only reason they are part of the story is so the writer can say they have them there. It's virtue signaling and it's gross. The lgbtq... community should be offended at being used that way.

If they act like that, then yes they're lying. Maybe they're afraid of other people's reactions or they're fake.
Either way, they're hypocrites.
