And now a few months past and people are asking me how that girl is doing every almost all the time why do they care like she’s married off let her live her own life. Should I be annoyed when people ask me how she’s doing like literally today again, this one guy how she doing how is your friend doing? I’m like I don’t know I haven’t really talked to her much they’re like why why not you like so my question is does it why does it matter

Ugh yeah, I can see why that would get super annoying! Like you said, she's married now so why are these people still so interested in her personal business? Stuff like that can definitely get too gossipy.

I think they're probably just asking cause they liked her at work and it's a way to catch up and pass time chatting. But it is kinda nosy to expect you to be best friends all of a sudden or know every detail of her life. Like you said, let the girl live!

Next time they ask, I'd just be honest but nice about it - something like "I don't actually talk to her much now, we're all just focused on our own things." If they press for details, you can joke that you're not her personal assistant.

They'll get the hint eventually to find something else to talk about. Or you could always switch it around and ask them something work-related so the subject changes. Your friend's married life isn't their business anymore really!

So yeah, I'd be a little annoyed too. But no need to let it get to you - you've got your own stuff going on!

I bet since she was close to you, they're just using her as an excuse to try chatting with you. Like they miss having you to gossip to or something dumb.

Next time maybe just be like "why y'all so invested in my ex-coworker's life? Weirding me out." Embarrass them a little, they'll probably stop real quick.

Some people just love the drama no matter what. Don't let em make you their entertainment! You're trying to work, not talk about old coworkers all day.

Keep it short and change the subject back to work stuff if they bring her up again. Soon enough they'll find a new target, just watch. You do you girl!
