Why did the guy I match on Hinge not text me back?

I don’t use dating apps at all. I figured I give Hinge a try rather than Tinder. I sent a rose to a guy not thinking he would respond back to me answering his prompt but he did. And I flirted back. A simple exchange about getting ice cream maybe as he was the one to say “let’s get ice cream.” He then gave me his phone number and said “text me”. I responded an hour later saying “okay bet.” So I texted him with the number he gave me last night a simple “Hey it’s (blank). What’s up?” But he hasn’t responded. What’s up with that?

If you’re gonna be on those apps, I’d say you can’t get in your feelings about stuff like that. I had zero expectations back when I used dating apps, that way there was no disappointments or even care if things like this happen. There’s no good reason for him not to text you, maybe he thought better of it, met someone else, maybe he just hasn’t even gotten to it yet, who knows. You just can’t let it phase you and move along with your swiping. If you weren’t worth a proper goodbye or unmatch then he’s not worth another thought. Next.
