My boyfriend finds gross that I never wear socks. Is he right?

Ah man, this is a tricky one. I can kind of see both sides.

On the one hand, who cares if someone wears socks or not, right? As long as your feet aren't like stinky or dirty, I don't think it's a huge deal.

But I can also get why your boyfriend might find it a little gross. Feet sweat and stuff, so going sockless all the time means your shoes are constantly touching bare feet germs. And I know if I took my socks off in my room, my mom would freak because then my "foot dirt" is everywhere.

Maybe a compromise could work? Like, wear socks around the house or whenever you're with your boyfriend out of respect for his preference. But when it's just you running errands or whatever, then go barefoot if that's what you prefer.

Or you could get those no-show socks that are barely even socks - might make him feel better about the "no socks" thing but you wouldn't really notice them.

Ultimately it's your choice. But if it really bothers your boyfriend, showing you're willing to find a middle ground could help reassure him it's not as "gross" as he thinks. Relationships are all about compromising on weird little things sometimes, right? Let me know if any of that helps at all!

It gets under the toe nails tho, I don't know how it works but I'm pretty sure some fungi is immune to certain chemicals because people shower and spread these fungi in places like showers, it's why you should never use public showers barefoot

Socks are meant to provide a barrier between your foot and shoe to capture sweat. Without socks your shoe captures it. This leads to bacteria growth and stinky shoes.
And before you say your feet don't sweat, ALL FEET sweat. Yours may sweat less than some others but they still sweat.
