Why doesn't my boyfriend want to take off his shoes/socks?

do u think my boyfriend feels awkward when he is barefoot or something. He doesn't even take them off when we are walking in the beach. I like to go barefoot a lot and probably a lot of people too, there are people that probably don't like to be without anything on their feet but then there's my boyfriend.
is this normal?

Yes it's normal. Everyone has something they're insecure about and in your boyfriends case, it's his feet. Just ask him if you can see them. Ask him in private. Simply say that you've noticed he never takes his shoes off and you just want to see them. It's completely normal for him to behave thos way. ^_^

I don't go around barefoot either. I even wear socks in bed. I don't know why tbh, it's just a preference. The only time I'm barefoot is in the shower (ofc)

It's a comfort and sensory thing. I hate wearing shoes and feel weird wearing them. He loves wearing shoes and feels right in them.
