I am not sure what you mean by "work"? I know what you are asking but I don't think of it as trickery or something.

Look, I'm a very nice and honest person, but I am that way FOR MY OWN SELF WORTH and not because if I'm nice to someone just to have them "like" me, I am just that way naturally. It's who I am.

As far as honestly goes, I do not lie and I don't want liar's in my life. I feel that if you lie to me, then you might as well steal from me too!! Because you are just not trustworthy.

Honestly IS the BEST policy always!!!

Don't waste time with those people. There's no such thing as universal appeal. Be who you are because it's what you believe in, don't let others bend you into pretzels just to fit in. Best wishes! :)

You know that old saying nice guys finish last.

And I always say just because I want something doesn't mean that I'm going to get it..
just because I want it doesn't mean I want it for the right reasons if I'm being honest with myself

It's like with anything in this life that we want we have to work for it to get it if we truly want it

But depending on what it is that we want does it want us I mean truly want us the same way because if not then it's not worth having

It gets you more respect and trust from other people if you treat them with dignity and respect and honesty , Not everyone is going to like you or dislike you , so just surround yourself with people that do like you and treat them the same way you want to be treated in return. People that lie are only really hurting themselves , because they lack trust and honesty. Making it harder for them to be accepted and trusted by anyone else.

Works for me but it works in different ways, lying is a shortcut to something you shouldn't be having. For example if a guy lies to a girl to get the girl, he will have the girl, but now relationships won't last with her since she will find out who he is soon enough. If you lie to get in a job position your not going to qualify for you might fuck up your career path if you screwed over the company with your inexperience. That kinda stuff.

Being honest may block opportunities but it tends to block the wrong opportunities and as people notice you are trustworthy new better doors open up to you.

It depends on your goals. If you’re an ambitious sort of person, total honesty can work against you as you try to make you way to your goals first, especially if you’re in a competitive field (and with capitalism, it’s always a competition). So you might need to lie a little, cajole a little, befriend people you might not like in the name of your personal betterment.

If your goal has nothing to do with money, then yeah. Being honest and “good” works very well, it doesn’t make you the most popular person in the world or anything, but it makes it a lot easier for the right people you want in your life to find you and connect with you.

The question is too broad to really answer. There are times where expedient lying gets you what you want, and times when being honest will get you what you want. To be truly "good and honest" though, you do it without the expectation of getting what you want, you do it for its own sake and because if everyone followed that example the world would be a better place for everyone.

Yes I believe it does in the Long run. You only cheat people so many times b4 they realise, you can only loe so many times before people figure out you are a liar, you can only steal so many times b4 people realise you are a theif, you can only break faith so many times b4 people realise you aren't to be trusted. You get a reputation being dishonest and bad that hinders you in life. For instance you want to find a good person to marry you, if he or she knows you were a lying cheating scumbag treated your exs badly then they'd be fools to marry you.

Depends what you mean by work, If you mean it makes you Successful then no not necessarily and if you mean makes more people like you then no not necessarily either because you can be Bad and Dishonest and still have a lot of People like you that's why a lot of People these days don't bother resorting to being good and honest because being dishonest and being bad has worked just the same way.

Not I don’t think it does. Schemers and liars seem to get what they want. BUT the truth always come to light. If you have integrity and want to feel good about yourself, being honest is worth your while.

I was always driven but I felt hamstrung because I was honest. It is not so I am glad to report. Being honest makes you think harder and work smarter which ultimately I believe makes you far more successful. In my life experience, this is true.

it does if you do it in a discriminatory way. you discriminate against people with ill will and intend and do not reward those with honesty and goodness. but you do reward the good people in your life wiht honesty and goodness. that's how it works.

Unfortunately we live in a system that rewards dishonesty and immorality and punishes honesty and morality. This corrupt system is called capitalism and its life blood money.
