It just seems like men always have something bad to say about career women. Or hate on successful women. Or say how they are all lesbians or will never marry or have kids.
On the contrary, many successful career women are married and have kids and aren't lesbians.
Some of this has to do with long-held traditions of the "woman supporting the man's career." If a man has to support his woman's career, who's going to support his?
The other long-held tradition is that of the "woman maintaining the hearth and home," being the "little woman," being given "an allowance" to "run the home."
And, you have to consider how a particular man was raised. Was he raised by a woman who had a career and was also available to him and the rest of the family? Or did just the opposite happen?
Men usually want women who remind them of their mothers. If they had homemaker mothers and quiet home lives, maybe the idea of child care split between the man and woman and homemaking split between the two isn't appealing, or worse yet, unimaginable.
I think this also lends credence to the idea that women aren't considered men's equals; they have to be protected at home taking care of children, cooking and cleaning.
I don't know if this is about "hating" career women, but about thinking they are not really women, but some kind of hybrid man/woman/lesbian. Just not regular.
This is a wide world with room for everyone. It only requires flexibility for two people to have careers. Or maybe the man wants the homemaking job. Anything can be worked out between reasonable people. If a man hates a working woman, his reason is in doubt.
I don't think men hate career woman. Any real man would at least have mutual respect for a woman regardless of her career or salary (as long as it is an honest career, of course) and vice versa (women should have this mutual respect for men, too). I do think that there is a current trend, though. The, "I'm a strong, independent woman and I don't need a man," trend. And while this may be true, when people, in general, are too vocal about being independent and thinking other people are a liability and they can do it all and better, it comes off as a bit rude and arrogant. So of course, it's going to scare all people away, both men and women. Because this persona is usually tied in with women who vocally choose career over starting a family (which does not have to be a choice. A woman can choose both), that's probably why it comes off as disrespecting career women when, in reality, they just don't like people who are arrogant, condescending and treat men (or others) like they're a nuisance.
I don’t want a career woman. I want a woman who wants to be a wife, a stay at home mom. Which is what I’ve had for the last 16 years. Not cause I made her but because that’s what she wanted. Your career really doesn’t benefit men. Women don’t really share their resources w men the way men share their resources w their wife. Men look at it as I can provide for us, get us a bigger house, better life for my children. Most women aren’t going to pitch in for half of all the bills. They’d rather save it for theirselves in case she ever decides to leave. Your career doesn’t make you more appealing to men because we aren’t influenced by how much money women make. I don’t hate career women. I just don’t prefer that. It’s a preference. You know a preference, the same thing women prefer in men as far as being a certain height, making X amount of money, etc. Funny how women only see that as working one way while the other (men) is shamed for having preferences.

We don't hate career women. We hate the ego that comes with them. Women tend to only date men that make more than them. Not all career successful women do this, but the majority do.
Men generally don't care whether you're a CEO or a mcdonalds worker. We only care if you respect us and have a good personality and if you try to maintain your fitness and appearance.
I'm not exactly sure, but I just know that in general some men hate successful women. Why? Sexism and misogyny, really.
Some men just simply don't wanna see women thrive. They wanna think of themselves as above women. So when they see a woman doing something just as good as them or better, they get jealous and furious.
Similarly to how some White people in America don't wanna see people of color thrive. Same thing except swapping gender with race.
So yeah... people who are long established to be on top of society don't like seeing people who are "below" them rise through the ranks or *gasps* surpass them!
men don't hate career women. having a career is not a thing that men put really high priority on when looking for a woman. if she has a good career, it won't harm their chances with men. the thing is: it's usually career women who didn't focus on being attractive for men and dating men to be with a man, who find themself single and unhappy. and instead of taking accountability and reflecting on their own choices, realizing that "maybe" it was their choices that lead to where they are in life, they just blame men, cause that's easy.

There's nothing wrong with a capable woman, however if he is already working a full time job he can't easily convert to part time for his family he will need someone who can look after the children. We don't hate the fact that you a career, we hate the ATTITUDES. Many career women, not all but many, have traits and attitudes that may be very beneficial to landing their career but are horrible when it comes to a relationship, such as constantly arguing, assertive, noncompliance, non-agreeable. It's a headache that we don't want to deal with. It's not that career itself, it's the attitudes. And you can't turn those attitudes on and off.
I'd happily be a housewife, but that's a no go in my country - both because the men want women to be successful and independent, but also because living cost is too expensive and barely doable with one income.
It probably depends largely on the society you're part of.
I hate them as much as I hate all men, elderly women and obese women. Meaning I don't hate them at all, I just don't find relationship value in them. I'm already rich, so I'm happy my wife wants to stay home and give out kids the extra love and attention they need to develop healthy minds and bodies. Obviously not everyone is lucky and most kids have to get neglected by their parents and raised by strangers and the government.

I don't hate "career women" at all, I am just not attracted to them. Don't confuse the lack of attraction with hatred.
I think many women are not attracted to stay at home dads for similar reasons. It's not popular to acknowledge these days but the fact is there are natural gender roles that come from millions of years of evolution. And anything that deviates from those roles is likely to reduce the attraction factor for the opposite gender.
Younger generations are suffering from so much confusion about questions like this because there is a political movement that has worked hard to create that confusion about gender and gender roles. Their purpose is to destabilize Western Civilization. Unfortunately they have achieved some significant degree of success. But based on the recent election results in the United States it looks like sanity may finally be returning to Western culture.
