Would guys mind dating a single mom with 1 child?

Women with children or even a child are an unnecessary risk.

I've tried to explain this to women on here before but generally they get offended. Don't ask a question that you really don't want to know the answer to. Single moms are typically single moms for a reason. A single mom is about as attractive to a man as a homeless guy is to a woman. Again, don't take this personal. It's an analogy. It's not that a homeless guy can't be a good man. He's just an unnecessary risk. Men are a dime a dozen to most women why would she entertain a homeless guy? well, same goes for a single mom.

But a decent guy will entertain a single mom. Just understand he's going to vet her more than he probably would a woman who is not a single mom (for obvious reasons), but also because if he's a part of her life at some point he's almost definitely going to become a part of your child's life. And that's serious commitment. One that a good man will not take lightly. Because a good man knows kids need stability. And that doesn't mean strange men co. ing in and out of his/her life.

Why are they an unnecessary risk? If a guy meets a woman and she is attractive to him and he gets along well with her, why would he reject her just because she has a kid?

Because as I said women generally don't become single moms by accident. 1. She either chooses partners very poorly which means she doesn't understand what constitutes a good man and therefore likely won't respect him. Or 2. She's of poor quality and drives men away.
Yes it's possible she's a widow. But that is a very small segment of single moms.

If it happened one time do you think that is enough evidence to assume she falls under one of your scenarios?

No. But it is reason enough for a guy to be leery of her. This is why I used the word "generally". Because there are exceptions to everything. I know personally a woman who DOESN'T fall under one of those scenarios. But I think every single mom I've met since has fallen under one of those scenarios. It's not always apparent. Some times it takes a little bit of doing to spot why she's a single mom. And don't think we hate single moms (at least I don't). I wish EVERY single mom the best. But understand it's in a (good) guys genetic makeup to want to protect and support women. So he has to be leery of a woman who would exploit that good nature. There are a lot of single women who'll look at this man as thier personal babysitter. I also know a guy who falls under this. He's spent the last decade and a half raising her kid. While she's been off partying, drinking an recapturing her youth. And don't think he's doing it for her. He can't even stand her anymore. But he loves her kid. I don't like saying these women exist, but they do.

There’s some men whom wouldn’t mind but I think a majority of men would prefer a girl w no kids. A lot of men would prefer a girl who is younger who they can have their own child w. I dated a girl w a child before, it was a headache. We couldn’t just get up and go. I always felt like I was competing w the child for time. The father was still around, he was an ex con. He tried to get in my face once but I put an end to that. Women say they don’t need a father for their child but expect you to still put your life on the line for them as well as their child if something happens. I was expected to bring food for all three of us if I showed up w food. She said he doesn’t need you to be his father but she sure expected to bring food for her son as well. We dated for a while, a few years. But I wasn’t allowed to discipline the child but again I was expected to protect this child. It was too much. She still hasn’t found a man to commit to her and her son.

A lot of guys in this world and she still hasn't found someone to commit to her? Why do you think that is?

Cause she’s got issues. Usually they can’t handle being single moms, it gets to them emotionally. I don’t think women are as strong as men mentally and physically. Some may be w todays generation of boys but whenever a man gets his child he’s never really struggling or taking the woman to court for child support.

Quality men would have no problem with it. Remember, a good partner will appreciate your strength, resilience, and the love you have for your child. The ones that can't do that are the kind of men you would be better off avoiding anyway.

I'm kinda set on the idea of settling for a virgin woman so if that doesn't happens before I lose my prime years then perhaps my mind would change, I guess only time will tell

That's a bad way of thinking. What if you meet a woman and you find her attractive and y'all get along well, you gonna reject her because she has a kid?

No disrespect taken. Most women in my dating pool have kids but I wouldn't date them. I married someone last year who was 34 with no kids. There are lots of great single women out there and some have kids and some don't but I want to travel without kids
