Do you think it’s true that birth control alter a woman’s preference in guys?

I once saw this on the news and I called bs. But then again I based this off a couple of relationships so maybe it does happen just isn’t a guaranteed

I've heard both ways about birth control pills doing that. One is that it does alter a woman's perception but the other I heard was that it was complete BS. I've only ever heard it about pills specifically though.

I guess the only logical explanation for this is that bc alters hormones.

But I think two things to point to that debunk this (at least from my perception) is that when women are on their period or are pregnant their hormones aren’t at their normal base levels and are different

That's true. I'm not the best candidate though because I have an IUD instead of oral contraception and I don't get periods. So it would be hard for me to test lol.

Are you worried that in the future if you plan to have kids with your boyfriend that being on the IUD for so long would basically make you unable to? I heard that if girls are on bc for too long that they basically become sterilized

Nope. My doctor has assured me it will not affect me giving birth later once I'm off of it.

I've heard the same thing, and I don't really know. I think maybe for some women it can be true, of course. But I've been with the same man both on and off birth control, and have not noticed a difference in that department.

Regarding the bc for men. I’ve heard of it but it’s only in testing phase currently

Yes, I've heard that it's been in testing for years. I don't know when or if they will even come out with it, and we probably wouldn't use it even if they did. The stuff for women is bad enough even for how long it's been around, I certainly would not trust something new

Lol well it could be a lot of coincidence, I suppose. A lot of women take hormonal birth control now. I just know that I don't think I would want to risk that sort of... surprise. Just my two cents though, you never know

They made me extremely moody and upset. I had to stop taking it.
