Guys why do you ghost then never unmatch her on Dating App?

I was left in read, no response. It's typical, guy is no longer interested... Why hasn't this guy unmatched me on the app? I'm gonna keep him there, just to see if and when he does unmatch.

I never ghost. I literally tell girls that I'm unmatching because I don't see us being a fit. But I can guess why guys might do that. It's because they don't like closing their options. If they start talking to another girl in the process and find her more appealing, if she falls off, then they might want to rely on the girl they started ghosting. It's just my guess though, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate.
