Would you remove an awkward tattoo?

Say you have a tattoo in a very visible place, like your arm, that says for instance ‘Amanda’. If you break up with her, would you have the tattoo removed, or try to conceal it as much as possible? Apart from looking for another girlfriend with the same name? :)

The respectful thing to do is have it removed, if you plan on dating someone else , tatts of exes can be a huge turn off to someone new
