Are you waiting for them, are they waiting for you to pull the trigger? Is it a money or distance thing? Are you just not ready to live with someone else?
I rented a house one time with a girlfriend. After several months of bliss, things started getting ugly.
One day, when I got home from work, she had moved all her stuff out without warning and left me stuck with the rent payments. I had to quickly find an apartment and move all my stuff again.
Would never recommend renting a place with a girlfriend.
No matter how in love you are at first, if things don't work out, somebody will get screwed when you want to separate.
My next girlfriend was renting a house with three room mates. We wound up living together for almost two years.
I kept my apartment and brought necessities and some clothes to her house. I was able to go to my apartment where I had all my furniture and possessions to get more stuff when needed.
That was ideal. I highly recommend that kind of arrangement.
Because when you find a stable apartment that you can afford and living together can make or break a relationship, its safer to spend time back and forth incase something happens. It's hard to find a new apartment let along pay the 3-times rent deposit & $25-$50 applicant fee
we practically live together now but we both travel so much we're usually together in other cities 🤷♀️
We’re not old enough and not ready yet

The number of divorces and breakups exploded during COVID lockdowns.
I have seen the relationship of my grandparents go to hell once my grandfather retired and as a consequence spent more time at home. They couldn't stand each other anymore.
In the course of my ongoing divorce I came to understand that the amount of time spent together very often has an adverse effect on the relationship.
And as someone has already posted, if it doesn't work out the person moving out very often has to start from zero.
Mama's Boy was too attached to his parents
A couple months ago
I stayed temporarily at his place with his family
Because he wasn't ever guna move in with me
He was financially independent working
I was more Independent in the sense
Like my parents were never around
Emotionally neglected
So our dynamics were opposite
I was used to being a Freeloader
He was used to being the Man of the House
Taking the place of His Estranged Disabled Father
How do you know they both share that value? Living with someone romantic partner they aren't married to?
Also, with the "common law" laws some states have, why would anyone set that in motion to where to state assigns a punishable "contract" on a couple and force alimony or asset division if there is a break up?
Why invite the courts and government into your relationship, salary and property?
I am ready to take the leap. Yes, I have both issues, distance and money. I am not poor though. I can go to any extent if a girl accepts my proposal for friendship, friends with benefits, casual dating, serious dating. I am trying my best to find a girl. I found some nice girls and had a good conversation with them. But I don't know what's wrong with girls these days they don't respond to my texts messages. Why do girls don't respond and take it to the next level? Why do girls hide their feelings? They should open up about their intentions, friends with benefits or serious dating. Are they waiting for the MR. perfect?
I don't see myself having a girlfriend anymore. I don't want to spend double the price when eating in the restaurant while being mistreated. I'm currently enjoying my hobbies and my own hard-earned cash and I do believe that a man enjoying himself isn't immature. I also don't enjoy being treated like an ATM in a relationship wherein the man's role is only financial provision. No hate, I'm just simply saying that not all men enjoy providing and being abused.
Hope you will find someone in the future who doesn't treat you poorly. Once you got bored with being by yourself, which is an important part of a man's life before having a serious relationship.
we have never waited... if we wanted to be together, living together was the next natural step...
I probably wouldn’t want to move in with anyone unless I was married to them. I like my personal space 😅
Same girl, same.
Been living alone for close to 3 years and realised that I love my personal space. That said, the plan is to move with my partner round the 2 year anniversary.
That’s how I am I want my space and peace
In the past, personally I wasn’t ready to move in together. But when I did moved in, my ex made me think we were ready for it…
Because we aren’t married, yet. When we are willing to commit to life together permanently we will move in together.
Moving in together creates all sorts of problems when you break up.
Because it didn't workout, she left me. So it's back to square one. Oh well, it's not like every guy hasn't experienced a failed relationship
Living together is a bad idea unless you are engaged. It reduces the odds of relationship success substantially.
why should they get engaged first?
@chocolatetwopointo Because there is evidence that It increases the odds of a successful marriage. www.du.edu/.../new-du-study-highlights-risks-living-together-engagement
and what if they find out their partner can't do anything around the house? like cook, clean or do laundry, would u be with someone who can't even do basic chores?
@chocolatetwopointo People can learn that stuff.
they should know that first.. im not their mom wtf. and many times they js refuse to do it
@chocolatetwopointo Refusing to do it is a totally different problem. You can figure that out by visiting someone else's house, you don't need to be living with them to know that.
not always, and i would never be with someone who wasn't taught basic chores.
My reasons in the past were always that I didn't see a future together. The reasons I didn't see a future were varied though.
Once you cohabitate the laws often treat you as married, which is a huge disadvantage to a man.
Shouldn’t they get married before living together? I mean if you are playing house then why marry later?
For men, the only sane mindset is: Never marry; never cohabitate. Don't give that control of your life to any female.
He doesn't like u. It's that simple
Did you read the question? Are you saying he doesn't like you, which is why you haven't moved in together?
My wife's father would have shot me.
Because you dont need to be
I assume you're referring to non-Christians?
