In short we met through a mutual friend, it was heavily flirty at first even considering a friends with benefits situation then dating after I confessed I started to like her, but she got feelings back for her old situationship so things didn't go further but we remained friends. Some of us are twitch streamers so a lot of the friend group is online but she's like 6 minute walk from me, and I introduced her to everyone.

Up till last week the friendship has deteriorated to a weird state of barely talking unless it's with friends she won't reach out to me and when I reach out conversations tend to be rather dry, yet last Tuesday she asks me ranomly whilst in a voice call with mutual friends if I wanted to go on a walk with her so I said sure. It took me by surprise as for the last two months she's been closer to my friends than me really, but stands that I mean a lot to her.

On this walk for about 4 hours we talk about relationships, the friend group, ourselves, sex, she even stated that she's not looking for a relationship just wants a bit of fun and I said the same, but we ended up going back to hers smoked weed and that was it as I needed to be out of town next morning. Got back in town on Friday we spoke briefly in the three days but not a lot, where i saw in a friends chat she's asking for advice on giving dating another go about some guy she brought up privately to him, out of curiosity I inqured after and he said it's 100% not me, but i have my doubts because on that walk she was.. different, averting her eyes if i looked at her and even bringing up that if she was going to see the friendgroup for a meetup next year she'd go if I'm going.

If not though then i don't know why I've been kept so far away, as when she mentioned it in chat she went on to play a game with another friend she barely knows to talk about it but didn't really want me to join.

She is giving mixed signals, but her actions matter more than that one walk and right now she is not choosing you. She likely enjoys your company and attention but is exploring other options, which is why she keeps some distance. Stop trying to decode her and either ask her directly what she wants or pull back and focus on people who show clear interest in you.

It sounds like SHE is confused about what she wants to do and is sending out feelers for possibilities.

You could be direct and ask her if she'd like to go out to some neutral events: listen to music, museum, coffee, lunch and see if that goes anywhere. But since she does seem to be on the fence, don't place heavy bets on her. I think it's a wait and see.
