Why do guys think it’s appropriate to ask a woman you’ve been chatting with through text/online dating to come over before meeting?

I just don’t understand it, to ask to come over to someone’s house without ever meeting them just assuming that they want to hook up with you is weird to me. It happens so often and I’m just shocked that this is a common thing that guys ask women. Can someone please explain why this keeps happening or why it’s considered ok to ask someone that?

Probably because it’s worked for them before. As for me personally I don’t feel comfortable going to any one’s house or anyone coming to mine unless I can trust them. But not everyone is like that and some dudes are just desperate for sex so are some chicks… Its just the way they are.

People can ask whatever they want but they shouldn’t be shocked when turned down. Women also sometimes ask men the same thing. Just be respectful and tell them no. If you feel like explaining yourself you can kindly explain that you don’t feel comfortable with someone you barely know coming over.

If he stops then leave it at that but if he cannot take no for a answer you may need to be more blunt. There are a lot of people who have a entitlement complex who feel as if someone owes them something. I don’t know why they feel that way maybe because some people choose to put up with it. But it’s the way it is

Fist off, not all guys do this. Just the guys YOU talk to which should tell you something about your guy selection.

But to answer your question. Why do they do this? Because it works clearly. No not everytime. But enough times to make it worthwhile for them to. And that brings me to my second point. This should tell you about the average type of woman that inhabits online dating.

Those type of guys are looking for sex not a relationship. They don't respect women. It works on plenty of women. A lot of women are desperate enough for validation that they make those kind of dumb choices.

Every girl I've ever dated would tell me about every guy that hit on her. Every girl I know talks constantly about all the guys that hit on them. Maybe some guys come out from this thinking it's normal to talk about.
