Would you date someone with an STD?

If the STD is permanent I don't see why anyone would, imagine they transmit the STD to you and then for some reason the relationship doesn't work out and you are stuck with it, you'll also always have a reminder of how that didn't work out along with it being a permanent thing, im sure it would change your dating life and even sex life.

if I remember it correctly, there's... four STD's that do stick with you forever...

herpes, HIV, hepatitis B, and HPV

- more than half Americans that are adults, do have Herpes already... and it might be 80% because herpes is just that common and a lot of people just don't know they have it

- for Hepatitis, there are vaccines available, and for the most part you can actually prevent it or most of the effects of having it, so... there's that

- modern medicine can help a lot of with HIV replication and significantly reduce the chances of turning into AIDS

- HPV is also... one of the most common STD's out there and a lot of people don't even realize they have till it is way too late

and in a lot of cases, STD's are transmitted by other means... not just sexual activity, so... I think it is worth to consider than STD's are just not as simple as being sexually irresponsible

I'm happily, well, let me rephrase that! I'm married but if circumstances would put me back into the dating pool, I would never date someone with an STD. I would only date a virgin! Anywhere from mid thirties to very early fifties. It might be kinda hard to find one or at least one that looks half way human but I have my standards.

Just remember someone gave it to them. I have been in two relationships with women that had herpes. I am all STD free. The key was education and being consistent about taking meds and not having sex during a breakout.

Agreed. I also am one of those body count guys. I personally do not have sex outside of a relationship. I have been with 7 women in my entire life, including my wife.
