Texting takes minimal effort and since he’s probably on his phone a lot anyway it’s no problem sparing a few seconds to swipe over and respond to you. Seeing you in person requires effort, energy, the things a man would have if he really wanted to see that woman. But you are not a priority, therefore he only sends you texts.

Why are YOU wasting your time? You do not have to engage and instead you could actually be done each time you say it rather than making empty threats. He still talks because you still respond, and if you had really meant it he would not hear from you anymore. You already know what he’s bringing to the table, and when you keep talking him despite everything then he is going to interpret that as you not meaning what you said.

He enjoys talking to you in his free time, and will continue to assume you are ok with it as well. If you don’t want to keep going through this then stand on business and walk away. He will never have anything better to offer you.
