What you call clingy might actually be jealousy however if you just met him anything is possible & it’s possible he’s in love & just wants to be connected to you. On the other side of things if you two are in a relationship now is a good time to set a few boundaries & I think you should tell him to stop blowing up your phone.

Lots of reasons. For one thing, that might be what he thinks you want. Guys learn very early on to pretend to be what women want them to be. But the guy also has to take the woman into account. Some women might be turned off by that. He might have just not figured what to employ yet.
