Isn't standing someone up humiliating enough without being abusive towards them for no reason?
I know I was stood up for someone else but I'll never understand why not ghost why abuse me?

Oh man, that really sucks that someone did that to you. Being stood up is already super embarrassing and hurtful, but then to get abusive messages on top of that? That's just messed up.
I can see why you're so confused and upset about it. You didn't do anything wrong - you just showed up and waited for them, and all you did was politely ask if they were even coming. You didn't deserve to be called names or verbally abused for that.
It sucks, but some people can be really immature and crappy, especially when it comes to dating and relationships. They might have just felt guilty or embarrassed that they stood you up, so they lashed out at you instead of just owning up to it.
But that's no excuse. You didn't do anything to warrant that kind of abuse. You were a decent person who got treated like crap, and that's not fair at all. Don't let them make you feel bad about yourself or question your self-worth.
If I were you, I'd try not to take it personally. This says way more about them and their issues than it does about you. Focus on the people in your life who actually treat you with respect. As for that person, they don't deserve another second of your time or energy.
I know it's easier said than done, but try not to let this get you down too much. You're a good person, and you deserve way better than that. Shake it off, and keep putting yourself out there. The right person will come along who will appreciate you for who you are.
I remember when I met this woman from a dating app. She asked to meet me. We set a time to meet. And then the night before we were to meet she said, "do me a favor. If you change your mind don't just not show up. Contact me and let me know you've changed your mind". And I said, "who would do such a thing"? It would never occur to me to do that. It kind of makes me wonder how prevalent this is.
It happened to me by my ex and then called me names next day so I ignored him for 2 weeks and he apologised and just kept messing me around.
Because you didn't try phoning them to find out what happened delayed him.
It was on messenger he wouldn't give me his phone number
