I have a girlfriend, let’s assume in the future she was to buy a Smart Car with her own money & drive it proudly and satisfied….

Yes. I’d love her as much as I loved her before the car also Smart Cars are honestly cute so it would match her style perfectly (not encouraging it or whatever, just saying I’d think it fit her nicely)

Now I do want to say I am biased against big trucks / SUVs since the people driving them are more ‘forward’, road ragey, and not warm / inviting especially when it comes to driving. Those big “cars” take up too much space in the parking lot and it is hard to open the door of your car without hitting theirs since it is too close for comfort… I hate them because it makes me feel like the ever shrinking foot space on an airplane and you know how annoying that is. That is all.

Probably not. It would mean that they bought into the climate change narrative that CO2 from cars is causing global warming. They don't even know where electricity comes from or how batteries are produced.

I'd be afraid to ride in one of those things. Besides, I probably wouldn't fit.

They spent a lot of money on something that is impractical. They aren't interested in road trips or adventure. It can only go 50 miles or so on a full charge. Those things don't even have room for groceries. So what were they thinking?

They probably did it to signal their wokeness and probably have Biden or Harris and anti-Trump bumper stickers.

No, I don't think I'd be able to trust their judgement. It might sound silly, but that those cars are ludicrously expensive for how little "car" you get out of them. Not to mention that a 2018 would need a new battery any time now for an extra 10-20k, at or double its current value.

At least if someone blows money on a mustang or something they can say "it looks nice".

Could not give a rats arse , car is transportation , not some status symbol , effective and small , would be awesome around town , wish I had one here.

I ride an EV Motor bike , it seems it has same effect , some adore it , some hate it , I really couldn't care less what anyone thinks , never have.

It shows that they pay more for a smaller car that gets worse gas mileage. Electric cars cause more pollution and cost far more too. They must have fell for the liberal propaganda and refuse to do research before making important purchases.

I would not discriminate against a woman who drives a "smart car", but there's nothing smart about a "smart car". You can get much safer cars that get almost the same gas mileage. I wouldn't date a woman who rides a motorcycle, though. Too unsafe, especially in heavy traffic. You can't control how idiots around you drive, and when you're on a motorcycle you are at their mercy.

I can’t choose any car anyone wants to drive. I will be concerned about the safety of the occupants because there are slimmer chances of avoiding injuries or death if they get involved in a serious accident while driving or riding such a little car. I will at least admit that those tiny Smart cars are cute.

It's a car! who cared XDDDD I might be a little concerned about safety though. Big cars seem safer, but little cars can dodge. So it's the age old question big bulky tank, or fast glass cannon.

It's funny, at one time I CONSIDERED buying a smart car. One big problem. I'm 6'5". Don't know how well that'd really work. We might be forced to take my car. Otherwise, it might look something like this.
