Was there a girl you really tried to get her to like you but it never worked out?

There was a girl that worked in the Student Center when I was in college. I used to try and hang out with her and I hinted that I would like to go out with her sometime. Once I asked her to go out with me and it was the weekend that the college has a spring festival. She told me that she would be at the festival the whole weekend. I took this as a good sign. So i spent the weekend looking around for her. I found her by some crazy accident at a place with a live band. She totally blew me off.

When I was 15-19 (high school and first three years of college,) I was hopelessly in lust with Victoria, a beautiful brainiac and a nice girl. I think she actually liked me but I was too shy, naive, and inexperienced to recognize the signs and respond to them, so nothing ever happened.

She and I have lived in the same city our whole lives and never had a chance encounter, Also, she never attends the high school reunions, so we have never once seen each other since my junior year of college. We probably would have been a horrible match if we had dated, but she is the only girl on whom I ever had a "crush."

When I was in 7th grade, I had a crush on a girl in my class. It was a Catholic school.
There was going to be a school dance, so I waited around until after school and went up to her. I asked if she would go to the dance with me. She diplomatically said that the girls had decided not to have dates for the dance.
In retrospect, I realize that she had a woman's body by then. I did have good taste in women. But at 13 years old, I was still a kid. The next year she had a boyfriend who was in college.

This question made me think about that whole period of my life. It really was a pretty strange time with a whole lot of weirdness.

When I was younger, my best friend brought a female friend (they weren't dating) to a high school concert. As she walked down the aisle to her seat, I said to myself, "I need to get to know her." We had a few dates and I really liked her, but she didn't really like me.

For a couple years in high school. From the outside looking in I must have seemed pretty pathetic and desperate with how hard I tried to get so little.

If someone doesn't like you more effort isn't going to change that. Though if you can learn that lesson the burn is worth it. Granted I only learned that from the next relationship I got into which was only slightly more balanced with my ex-wife lol.

She was the one that got away. She liked me at one time but I didn’t act quick enough. By the time I actually tried to talk to her it was too late, she wasn’t interested

Yes, way back in middle school and high-school I tried dating my neighbor. Our schedules just didn't mesh together. When I was free she wasn't, when she was free I wasn't

Yes. And I'm thankful for that woman. Not because she was a nice person, she wasn't. But her games taught me a lot about women and the games they play. Because of her it's very difficult for another woman to ever get over on me ever again.
