Surprisingly, a few times. One was a woman i worked with who had recently lost a bunch of weight, then broke up with her high skool sweetheart who helped her lose the weight, and just started banging a bunch of random dudes. Knowing all of that about her was a huge turnoff. I also knew her ex, who was a super good dude and completely emotionally wrecked over her. On top of it all, i wasn’t sexually attracted to her. She pestered me for weeks, and my employer refused to do anything about it.
That was the easy one. I had met a woman through a dating app. She was cute and sweet, but hopelessly naive and not very smart. I didn’t feel a connection to her, but she got very clingy very quickly. So i told her we weren’t a match and bid her farewell. She started showing up at my job. She did that a few times and was telling my boss and coworkers she’s my girlfriend. They tried to reprimand me for her bad behavior. I told them that she was not my girlfriend and i wouldn’t sign the “verbal warning”. If she showed up again, to call the cops and have her trespassed, and if they hold me accountable for her actions i’d sue them. She showed up one more time and they warned her that they would call the police. I never heard from her or saw her again.
The other one was just some random drunk woman at my favorite dive bar. She was attractive, and we had a good conversation, but she was getting very drunk very fast. So when she hit on me i declined her invitation. I don’t know why guys go home with drunk women. It’s not a good feeling that she has to be drunk to be into me. I didn’t want any part of the buyer’s remorse that too frequently accompanies drunken hookups.
She actually physically attacked me. Fortunately i was a regular and the help had seen everything. So the bartender and cook swooped in to rescue me. They cut her off, kicked her out and threatened to call the police if she came back. I never saw her again either.
Ironically, none of these things happened to me when i was at my peak market value.
