Why do my friends keep trying to hook me up with guys?

Why can’t my friends understand that I gave up on relationships? I mean don’t get me wrong I appreciate what they’re doing but they need to back off. I know they’re both engaged and they said the need to find me a man and I’ve been single for three years. I’m almost 26 and I’ve been single since I was 22. My last relationship ended so bad. My friends accused me of rejecting dates because I refuse to date someone under 6ft. I told them that isn’t true and I’ve changed things a bit and a guys height don’t matter to me anymore. One of my friends said, “Is that the only reason why you say you’re not ready for dates because you refuse to date a man shorter than you? If it is, tall women like you need to grow up! Just date short or short fat guys. Short men LOVE tall women but you ladies refuse to look their way.”

Im allowed to have preferences but come on! Us tall women get shit for preferring taller men. I’m 5’10 and plus I don’t want to get hurt anymore. My ex boyfriend was 5’5 ad he broke my heart so bad.
My best friend said the guy they found for he is willing to wait for me as he finds be so beautiful and tall.”

I told them NO. What if I end up being interested in someone else in the future?

I’ll say that it’s better to wait until you find someone you’re genuinely attracted to. You’re allowed to have preferences but just remember what’s on the inside matters most.

As long as you also respect that men have preferences some men who are taller want shorter women. There are taller women who are fine dating shorter men so everyone is different. Not dating someone because you’re not romantically attracted is much different form judging someone as a human being. It’s better to let them find someone who genuinely wants to be with them.

People shouldn’t try making you date anybody though. Finding someone you’re genuinely attracted to takes time. I wish your friends the best but if they rushed to find someone it could end up very sad for them. Genuine relationships built on genuine attraction and a genuine bond takes time to find. Time to maintain and time to get to the point of marrying g

And their wives are girlfriends we would go out some Friday nights and their wives used to try to set me up with one of their girlfriends because they said they love that I went out with them because
They were hoping that my personality would rub off on their husbands or boyfriends because they did not know how to treat them they said which I understood completely because come Monday morning these guys would want to know everything that has happened and they would brag about what happened when they went home and blah blah blah can I receive bro I know your wife what are you doing don't be telling us all this stuff it's amazing how big a mouth guys have to tell other guys about their wives with their girlfriends and what they did it just is so rude it is uncalled for it's bad let me tell you LOL

Just keep this in mind. Once you are past 30, most good men will forever be out of reach for the rest of your life. Don't waste your 20s as a woman. You will likely end up one of the angry men hating women like some on this site if you do.

As a tall strong man, having many more options means only accepting good quality and legitimately being able to be more picky. So if you want someone good, you shouldn't waste your time and don't wait until it is too late for you. You have just over 4 years left.

I mean to hold a preference based on something someone can’t control can come off as shallow, and with every passing year, your options decrease. Giving up on love shouldn’t be the option, working on yourself and learning good qualities in men should be what you work on. In my opinion anyways.
