Why do guys only want to be friends with me?

im a smart, friendly, normal, outgoing, pretty girl. guys seem to only see me as just one of their friends. WHY?

Is that your actual picture in your profile? If so, I can't imagine why guys wouldn't want to be more than just friends with you. Do you ever flirt with guys that you find interesting? A lot of guys will stick a girl in the "friendship" bracket if they think she is "out of their league". I think that's a lot of nonsense, but guys continue to do it anyways. You might have to be a bit more proactive. What kind of guy are you looking for? What kind of guys are your male friends like personality wise?

Im not a very good flirter... I don't hink I'm out of anyones league personally. I'm looking for a nice, funny, kind, smart, athletic guy. my guy friends are funny and we are all actualluy really good friends...

Have you ever tried flirting with them or telling them that you feel more than a friendship? Flirting is an art form, it takes practice to master. You don't always have to be original. There's lots of advice on flirting on this site, plus your gal pals I'm sure can share some tips that have worked for them.

I think that's it is because like you say your outgoing and pretty and friendly and a lot of guys find that it's nice 2 have a pretty girl to talk with rather than go out with and don't worry if those guys put you in the friend zone at least you'll be able 2 learn from male behavior and then find yourself a guy that you are into and you know hell be into you take care.

I believe he means that because you are those things your guy friends are too intimidated to try to be any more than just friends so they settle for being just a friend.

I say that a girl should know if guys only like her as a friend if they tell her that, or possibly make excuses to NOT hang out with her.

And from your profile pic I also say you're naturally very pretty and from your description of yourself you seem like a great girl so I highly doubt that every guy you know wants to just be friends with you. I bet that they're afraid of you rejecting them or don't know how to be more than just a friend.

I'm not exactly sure what you should do since I try not to be too forward with guys myself [cause of bad past experiences] but maybe try flirting a bit more to the ones you're attracted to.

Cheer makes a good point. A lot of guy friends aren't going to make a move if they think you are going to be uncomfortable with it. Instead, we just going on being friends. You might need to be more proactive. By the way, I've befriended girls that I've been attracted to before. Why not? You add some more friends to your group and if you turn out to be more than that, great! I can't chase all of my female friends at once, so we guys are selective. Are you sending hints? That's what counts. :)
