Would it be against bro code to date a woman that my best friend had as a fling?

My best friend had a fling with a woman that he treated terribly because he had a girlfriend the entire time (that he didn’t tell her about) and strung her along for four months. When she finally ghosted and blocked him, he was hurt.

I have great chemistry with her, but I’m hesitant to act on it because, although he was wrong, he is my friend.

Well it’s not the bro code that’s the problem my guy. It’s the fact she had a fling I would be extremely careful of people who have flings. I will say that while someone legally speaking doesn’t owe someone a exclamation it’s a red flag when they ghost people and block without any reason. It’s cowardly and the chances of her doing it to you are also high.

I would reevaluate your friend if your friend was cheating on his girlfriend with another girl who he was also treating terribly. Imagine what he would do to you as a friend major red flag. People who cheat are people to avoid in life just in general.
