Not sure if I should quit social media as I feel people would view that as negative /red flag? Thoughts?

Hey I stopped watching TV 5 years ago 5 and 1/2 years ago that has been one of the best things in the world I should have done

I will probably do the same thing with media social media one day it's just all depends on the things I start doing in life.
There are priorities that you have to let go of other things to fulfill your priorities and the things and places and people you want to meet especially if you open up a business you just don't have that much time for social media
Honestly I come out social media because I'm bored and I want to flirt I want to find a girl that I'm compatible with that's about the only reason why I'm on social media to be honest but I don't see any red flags or anything I think it's a good thing to do once in a while

If you want to change your social media, or delete it altogether, just do it.

I did.

The only social I use is Strava for exorcising, nice to see my squad mates times they are laying down etc.

And I use this, which is basically a forum.

I have what's app and that's it.

I just closed my accounts on everything ells.

No dating apps, snap, Facebook, insta, linked in.

It's all a bunch of bollocks, a step backwards for humans. But we can't get it right all the time, live and learn.

Hard to say.
I dont think it made it worse.
Takes a bit of time to get over the perceived isolation, but the reality is your isolated on social media.

But i socialise at the pub now, train at a rowing club. I did before but it changes things.

I got invited to a new year's eve party at a pub, made some friends, kissed a girl.

So yeah, it's hard, can feel negative, but ultimately I'm glad I made the choice to drop it all.

In the young dating world, it's a red flag. Girls like to cyberstalk potential partners, and not having social media makes that very difficult. Just a minimal presence that you barely use, is probably a safe bet. A couple good pics, minimal engagement. That's all.

Oh, reading more here, it's important to distinguish between quitting and deleting/announcing departure. Yeah, it's a green flag to stop using social media, except on rare occasions, or to respond to DMs. It's a red flag to delete your accounts or make a "I'm done with this stuff" type of post.

Not having a way for girls to cyberstalk you is a concern for them. They want to verify your identity and learn about your true nature.

For the second part, doing a departure announcement will make girls think you're weak and emotional. Which triggers their "ick" because of their biological instinct to seek power and strength for breeding purposes.

Yeah, that's why I said "young dating world" because it's a component of lack of maturity. Not that middle aged women don't do the same stuff. But middle aged women that are still dating tend to be the immature ones. So, just less common.

But also, it's kind of a valid trust issue thing. Zoomer girls get pumped and dumped constantly by the top 20% dudes (I admit my old ass still pumps and dumps them) so they want to protect themselves against players by seeing a little of their back story. I have a funny excuse for not having social media though. You can do one too, if you want. It doesn't fully assuage their worries though. Trust me.

This is definitely a generational thing that people would feel it's weird to not be on social medida. If it is not making you happy, it is better to just worry about you and not about what others think. Or keep a profile and don't check it. Seriously though anyone who feels like you need to do something that you don't like should be a red flag for you to say you're not a friend

You're already doomed if you think that matters. It means you already put too much stock in "social" credit that you're worrying about other people thinking about how you are based on social media. Literally no one real will actually care regardless if they vocalize it or not. Just do you and what is best for you. The only opinion that will ever matter is your own.

Well, that is not entirely correct. I did use LinkedIn in order to increase my odds of landing a job. When i found, that it didn't, i canceled linkedin.
