I think it's totally fair to ask about whether she smokes before asking her out on a date. Smoking is a dealbreaker for a lot of people, myself included. It's better to get that info upfront rather than waste your time or hers if it's not gonna work out.

What if she only smokes a couple a day or only smokes when drinking? Rejecting a woman just because she smokes is pretty gay, unless she's a chain smoker
