I propose that the real question is "Guys, would you date an obnoxious, vulgar, extremist, dogmatic, black-and-white thinker who believes they have the answer for everything and will brook no reasonable questions or debate?" Those exist in both parties, shockingly, and both sexes.

I think most people are turned off by that type of person, except when they agree on all points and are mutually obnoxious. I haven't looked at politics in years simply because it stresses me out and there's no resolution on anything. There are mutually agreeable solutions, but it's more profitable to maintain division.

I don't see why not, I have several times in the past. It's not that fulfilling, but it quenches the thirst (like all dating). Ideology doesn't make women more or less physically attractive, it can just influence other things that would be attractive or unattractive.

Like wanting or having kids, ease of saving money in the future, so on and so forth. It isn't like conservative women are all hot, trad wife homesteaders either, you can get a crazy woman who will light your car on fire out of any grab bag.

Yes. It aligns more with my political leaning. I value a social safety net, universal healthcare, subsidised higher education and worker’s rights and protections. I understand that means high taxes and I am ok with that. It is for a fairer society. This is not communism and a “social” safety net does not mean socialism. It means a small allowance from the government and assistance with education so one can get back on their feet upon falling on hard times and help for those who cannot work. One must apply and be approved for it. Everyone else is still free to capitalise on their skills and business, buy and sell private property etc. just like a normal capitalist system. That’s something Americans really don’t understand.

Scandinavian countries, New Zealand, Canada and to a lesser extent Australia are close to this model and they are great places to live because it works way better than any other system.

I've mostly dated that profile because I always figured "who cares what her political views are?" and to be honest, I was always focused on other things. Also, I spent a LOT of time in college and grad school and in big cities so pretty much ALL the girls I'd run into fit that profile. I'll be honest though--it's not great. From a politics perspective I dated two girls who were VERY apolitical and i have to say that was THE BEST as far as this issue goes. Not even close. If you can find yourself a girl who ticks all your important boxes AND is apolitical, I highly, HIGHLY recommend it.

It's a complicated question, and there's not one definitive answer. Ultimately, couples with different political views must come to the conclusion on their own. If you feel like politics are ruining your relationship, it can be worthwhile to have a serious conversation about your values and goals.
