I am not conservative by the way just middle of somewhere. I am just wondering how politics affects human relationships

My criteria is mutual physical attraction, sexual compatibility, and no glaring personality conflicts. A woman being conservative would have no correlation to the first, negligible correlation to the second, but the third could be problematic. The conserivative personality tends to be defined by insecurity and that I can not live with. Now that's just a tendency and it could be that they were raised in a conservative home and took it as the default. That would mean we would probably eventually meet somewhere in the middle as long as there aren't underlying insecurities that keep her tethered to her side. I'm fine with that but at my age it's hard to find any conservative person that isn't a complete mess of insecurities, so.. theoretically I'd date a conservative woman but it's hard to find any practical examples.

I'm not far right and neither are most of the people I listen to.. But I dated a Leftist and used to listen to the left.. I know exactly how insecure and crazy Leftist women are.. Also Conservative doesn't mean far right.. There are Conservatives who are not Republican.. I was a Conservative but never Republican..

Wait you dated one leftist and assume that is representative of all of them? Perhaps if you could explain a causal relationship between left-ish ideology and her behavior, as i have for insecurity and the desire for a strongman, it would be at least a starting point but otherwise a sample size of one is not correlation.

And yes, it is true you can be a conservative without being a Republican. It's just not very common. The plain fact is you pretty much have to pick between the two parties and to not pick the one you best align with only helps the other. And while it's true democrats tend to cover a great deal more conservative ideology than republicans, the Republican party has gone to great lengths to obfuscate that fact. So, if you pierced that veil, kudos, but you must know you're an exception not the rule.

No, but she was almost exactly like how I would imagine a leftist be up close and personal.. I also live in Chicago, so I would be hard pressed to find a Conservative anywhere I go.. They exist, but I usually assume most people I run into vote Democrat or are a leftist.. So, I'm used to Leftism.. And I would say the Conservatism does not necessarily equal Republican and vice versa.. But Conservatism is right leaning.. I hardly know any Democrat Conservatives.. But they exist I guess.. I think that you have a skewed view of Republicans.. Especially since Leftism is the popular side to go with these days..

Oh, I just noticed you're in your 20s. I was talking about women my age. I don't know anything about young people. I can make guesses but none of them would informed beyond historical trends. At my age, though, the appetite for greater validation is weaved into right wing culture pretty thoroughly. When I was your age I didn't understand how heavily validation weighs on the minds of older people, but it turns out it's a really big deal.

But anyway, I've seen some of the ways conservatives try to trick young people into becoming conservatives but I never imagined anyone would actually fall for them. So I suppose there must have been other ways that I just haven't seen. But having not seen them I can't really formulate guesses on why anyone your age would be a conservative.

I certainly wouldn't date a populist, a sloganeer, a racial essentialist, or a conspiracist.

A thoughtful conservative? Maybe. It isn't off the table. It would probably depend on whether she was comfortable setting her politics aside most of the time and only discussing them with me occasionally.

We would probably agree on most things, but I still would rather not talk about politics at length with my SOs anymore.. It'd definitely be much better than dating a leftist..

I wouldn’t date a woman who agreed with the current US Republican Party platform, as so much of it is based on counterfactual beliefs. Democrats and Republicans used to agree on the data and mostly on the goals of governance, but no longer. In the Republican world climate change is unrelated to fossil fuel burning, gun deaths ate unconnected with guns, and a human blastocyst has more rights than an adult woman.

I always vote Democrat, however, lately I'm not buying all of their beliefs. It really bothers me that they are ramming the belief that men can be women down my throat. That men can have babies. That all white men are the cause of racism in our country. I hate their anti-white men slogans.

Right now it seems to me that conservative women have a better belief system. So I would happily date a conservative woman.

Politically? Specifically regarding American conservativ politics I will if I liked her a lot but I will annoyed by her right wing politics since their politics is total ish.

Socially, I can as well but she can't be too damn conservative.

I like my women that go against the grain and don't let society and their standards box them in.

Depends on what's your definition of being "conservative". Because most people took something like 'being modest' as conservative. For me, it's NOT. That's not my definition of conservative. Instead... Being misogynistic, racist, sexist, narrow-minded and something like that are "conservative" to me. People who have stone-age like minded who downgrade others, started war, that's conservative. And they don't deserve some peaceful future where we live in a good state together, men and women. ✅️
