Is river fishing a good date idea?

Personally I would not want that kind of date. The reason is that I don't like to see animals suffering and that fishing is a typical occupation that tortures animals when you hook them in the mouth and let them suffer from that hook. Some people even let them wiggle around once they fished them and don't kill the fish right away, which is not acceptable by me.

So, if your date is sensitive to suffering, then don't take her to river fishing because that is more of a negative experience than a positive one.

I personally would not want to experience it.

If she likes to fish, maybe. I'd do something more basic for a date, especially if it is early on.

Id say it depends on her " likes " as I'm guess you enjoy it , so do not enjoy the torture of free fish as a pastime , its like asking if a shooting date is a good idea. It may well be , individual dependent , for certain.

Sure for you and if you are lucky enough she loves fishing. Otherwise, you would have a better chance taking to do archery.

If she is outdoorsy then sure. However if she is a girly girl than probably not a good idea.
