Girls, Is there a future with a girl that says you’re the perfect guy, “I really like you” but she needs a break to figure out personal stuff?

She just got out of a relationship early November. We started talking at the end of November. Went on a date December 6th, then didn’t see each other again until December 16thish. Since then we have hung out practically everyday. I have met all her family, who all love me. I’ve babysat her kids both toddlers at their house by myself and the kids both love me. The eldest has told me he does, the youngest doesn’t talk much yet but he comes and sits down on top of me. When we first started talking she said she wanted to take it slow because she had a couple of very rough relationships and I was fine with that so all we have done was kiss. I even spent the night when her dad had a birthday party and nothing happened between us because she drank a bit too much so I looked after her all night. Everything was going fine until the beginning of February when we were hanging out and she had a panic attack, then said she needed a break to work on herself and to love herself again because she isn’t ready for a relationship and is still dealing with feelings from the last relationship (less then 2 months ago) sh says she really likes me and that I’m the perfect guy, and that she isn’t ending it but that she needs time and since then hasn’t really spoken to me much and kept me at a distance. We may go out to eat this Friday which if we do is the first time seeing each other since she wanted a break. She won’t tell me if she wants me to wait for her. Any advice or perspective from the females would be greatly appreciated.

Well she completely ended it and decided she still loves her ex, who has let her down multiple times and broke up with her.

What surprises me that this lady jumped into a new potential relationship less than one single month after she broke up with her previous relationship. That is a huge red flag in my eyes and something to worry about.

Also, you state that "... she is still dealing with feelings from the last relationship (less then 2 months ago)...". The word "relationship is pluralized, which leads me to believe that this lady is moving from man to man like a bee searching for honey and goes from flower to flower. What is also very disturbing is that she has several children. That can be seen as if she has had children from many different men. You don't tell us that part of her story.

Nonetheless, she does not inspire confidence and I wonder if you are not just tapping into a scheme by this woman.

She "likes" you, probably just like she liked the other men she had before. I would keep my fingers off if you don't want to get into trouble and have to face dire consequences.

There may or may not be a future between you two. First, follow your intuition. Second, make a list of what you want in a relationship, and don't settle for less. EVER! If she's everything you want, then be patient, and try to win her heart. Don't be insensitive. It's not just about how you want to treat her. You need to recognize how she wants to be treated. Find out what she wants in a relationship. Keep in mind that you can't change who she is or what she wants. Maybe she wants more than just a kiss. Maybe she's becoming distant because she wants to feel loved. Maybe you should try to take it further. Is she someone who wants a man who's gonna take charge and whisper sweet nothings in her ear? She probably does like you, but her actions are showing she is emotionally overwhelmed and not ready right now. Don’t put your life on hold waiting for someone who cannot clearly choose you, even if the connection feels strong. Go to dinner, keep it light, and pay attention to consistency afterward because someone ready for a relationship will not keep you guessing for long.

That’s kind of a Bitchy answer. Why would you say that? Curious as to what I said which makes you feel that way. I like the girl and I want a future with her but need some input from third party strangers as to whether I’m wasting my time or not.
