What do you wear on a summer picnic date?

Depends where the picnic is. If it's in a park, usually a sundress. If it's at the beach then a swimsuit and a wrap (or on warmer days bikini with shorts and a light top). If it's at a different spot -- like a rooftop picnic/bbq, a picnic on a boat, a spot along a hiking trail, etc., I just dress appropriately for the weather and location.

A sundress and a fetching straw hat of course. Best if the skirts are full so they spread out nicely on the ground.
