I'm 4'10 and I've often wondered if my height is one of the reasons why I just don't match up to beauty standards since men don't seem to go after short women. A lot of the short women that I know are lesbians makes me think like is it just harded for us super short women to get a man🤔

OK, before I answer your question here's the flip side of that question. As a 4'10" woman, do you feel like you need a man to be 6'2" or taller? A lot of women have unrealistic requirements for men and as I understand it, height is the #1 hangup for women. But there are very few guys 6'0" and taller. Would you date guys who are say 5'6". What do you see as an acceptable height for a man given your own height?

I'm not super huge but a little bigger than the average guy at 6'2" and 205 lbs. You would be 16" shorter. That's a big gap. Dancing would be awkward. Sex may be uncomfortable. I wouldn't necessarily rule out dating a woman that much shorter than me but, I know it would require an adjustment for things that may make it more difficult. But... the deciding factor would be intelligence, personality, values, and yes, looks. For the right person, height becomes a low priority.

A lot of women under 5'0 want guys that are twice there size in fact most women do. I'm a 5'4 man and was rejected by several women within that range. It was never a problem for me at all in fact it was to my liking they actually had a problem with it. I don't think men care that much about height.

It's women that do. If you're getting rejected for your height by a guy then that's like the minority of men. I mean like it surprises me that a ton of short women don't want to be eye level with a guy and rather like not even be near the guys head, it is what it is. I find it extremely odd

My girlfriend is 4'11" and the one before that was not quite 5'1. Probably 60% or more of the women I've dated have been 5'2" or less. I've always been attracted to petite women, even as a kid.

This old picture from 1995 is of actor Bruce Campbell (left), along with my buddy Pete (right) and his then girlfriend, now wife Michele. I had several conversations with Michele (who Pete had a big crush on) because she originally didn't like Pete, essentially telling her to give him a chance. As mentioned, they're married, and have been for more than 25 years. They originally got together after spending the weekend handing out together at a friend's place where a bunch of us were having a Star Wars marathon around 1992 or 93.

Pete is 6'5", and Michele is 4'10".

Even before any of us had met Michele, we often watched Xena on TV and Bruce Campbell movies (the Evil Dead movies, especially Army of Darkness) together at my place with a bunch of my friends. Pete and I used to capture audio off of VHS tapes to make Bruce Campbell audio samples, and Pete eventually created a "sound board" using those samples for Bruce's web page, and was eventually invited to an event to meet him - thus this picture.

I have a picture of Pete and Michele kissing at my old house - Pete was standing at the foot of the stairs and Michele was standing on the second step, at eye level with him.

My point is that most men, even very tall men like Pete, aren't bothered by the fact that women are often much shorter, and in fact, many men specifically find that attractive.

Big guys like petite women and average gym bros like petite women.

Take a look at The Mountain’s wife.

I see tall women with men their same height or men shorter than them. But I always see petite women who are attractive/fit with either attractive guys or tall, big muscular guys who might be attractive too. The point is, you’re in demand more than your tall peers whether the media admits it or not.

Not a problem for me :) While I've never dated someone under 5'', I did date a girl who was barely 5' 3" - we were together for 5+ years and I thought she was gorgeous, sexy and erotic as all heck :)

I think the modeling world is wacky... I know a woman who is absolutely gorgeous but because she is "only" 5' 6" it took her forever to get a crack at things - and even then it's been limited. If she was 5' 9"+ she would be known throughout the world.

If everything else was going well sure :). I'm 6'3'' so it would be on the extreme end but I don't intend on letting physical attributes get in the way of a good relationship. So I wouldn't seek out women under 5 ft but if I met someone and it was going great I wouldn't reject her because of this.

I’d say I actually prefer short women. Not a hard and fast rule, but I think more girls in my past have been under 5’5 than over. I like ‘em stacked short, like a fire hydrant😝 And I’m 6’2, for what it’s worth, it’s not out of any height-matching effort on my end. I’d say my all-time roster is probably on average about 5’3.

I've dated short females in a high percentage of my dates.

I'd prefer females not to wear high heels though. I've never mentioned this to my dates, and I don't ever remember any date wearing high heels.

It would be different but if I am attracted to her I wouldn’t dismiss the idea just because of her height. A pretty face and her being great company who I happen to be attracted to and her to me is pretty much where my bar is set. At 4’-10” you can still do most normal adult things so it isn’t like you are extremely short in height. In some ways your small stature could even make things more fun because you could be easily picked up and carried on my shoulders - guess that is why your height is called, “fun sized”? Anyways, don’t discount yourself.

Yeah i have no problem being with women under 5ft. The thing is, I want to be with a woman that loves me. If she is short, ok. If she is tall, ok. If she is busty, ok. If she has small boobs. ok. Yes I have my preferences, and what turns me on the most. But still if the person doesn't love me then there is nothing for me.

I come from a short family. Someone under 5' would not even stand out to me. I don't even think I'd even notice that they were short.

I was with a comparably short woman. Her height didn't bother me much although I did consider it from a genetic reproduction standpoint.
At the same time, short women often wear heels and that can be really hot.
Also, some short women, because they are short and don't feel they have enough power or security have fantasies of being taller or dominant. (It's probably why some women become teachers.) These fantasies can be hot.

It's not being shallow, it's have a preference which everyone has in one form or another. No different than women who prefer not to date short men which I have no problem with because it's just a preference.

The whole height as a trait is toxic if you ask me. Smaller women for a man make it easier to physically manipulate (if you get me) and be more dashing and sweep her off her feet when appropriate.

Height doesn't matter much to me. I'm 6'4 so around 5ft would be my limit for shortness. It's more of a convenience thing than a sexual preference if she is that short. My wife is 5'10. That feels like a good height to match mine.
