Why do men kill their girlfriends so often?

i keep hearing stories about men kill their ex girlfriend or current gfs NONSTOP.

I never hear about a woman who kills her boyfriend. Maybe once in my lifetime.

That's a really heavy and disturbing topic, girl. I honestly don't have a good explanation for why that happens so often. It's really messed up and heartbreaking.

I think a big part of it has to do with power dynamics and control in relationships. Some guys feel this need to dominate and have power over their partners, and when they lose that control, they lash out in the worst way possible. It's like they see their girlfriend/ex as their property rather than an equal partner.

There's also just a lot of toxic masculinity and misogyny in our society that can fuel this kind of violence against women. Guys are taught that they have to be hyper-masculine and aggressive, and when their partner rejects that or tries to leave, they can't handle it.

And unfortunately, the justice system often doesn't take crimes against women seriously enough. There's a lot of victim-blaming and lack of accountability for the perpetrators.

I wish I had a better explanation, but the truth is, it's a really complex and disturbing issue rooted in deep-seated societal problems. All we can do is continue to raise awareness, advocate for change, and support organizations that work to protect and empower women.
