Honestly, I don't see how a "normal" 38 year old could find an 18 year old interesting or fun to be around as a romantic partner. The difference in maturity and life experience is just insurmountable. It would be like having a technically "adult" child. A guy 38 whois trying to date an 18 year old has something wrong with him. Why isn't he able to connect with someone a little closer to his age?
As for 17, now the guy is doing something illegal. And that doesn't stop him? Run for the hills!

Other than something sensual I don't think anything could happen between the two of them... Seriously doubt that such a young girl would even find a man that age attractive

  Well I think that life is very short very brief so if you don't notice him realizing that you should be what's more important for him than you probably should just leave him because you won't be young forever and wasting your time is something you can't afford to do
