Why are men and women so rude when rejecting someone?

I feel like todays society cannot be nice when rejecting someone for some reason now i can't say ik a lot about how a boy would reject someone because im ussually nice about it but i do notice if I tell a girl I like them they tell everyone im stalking them i realize this is not all girls but it is kinda hurtful anyone else have a rejection story about the opposite sex being rude to them over it or have an opinion on this?

Not ALL people are rude when expressing their lack of interest. Someone who is brought up to respect others will find a diplomatic (or kind) way to let someone know they’re not interested. They’ll schedule a call or meeting to state their case properly, showing respect by taking the time to speak with the other person.


Rude people who break up in a loud public spectacle or over text are acting out of a sense of cowardice, foolishness and fear. They often act this way to “strike first” before the other person “strikes out” towards them. It’s most commonly a go-to move from folks who have been poorly treated by others.

well it is kinda hard for me because i bond better with girls and women due to excessive rudeness from the same gender in real life so i am gonna guess a lot of girls find that weird

Most people aren’t rude or at least don’t mean to be unless someone just absolutely refuses to take no for a answer. But people who are unnecessarily rude they’re doing you a favor rejecting you imagine how miserable being with them would be.

People do it because it helps their ego to just hurt someone who made effort towards them. If you don’t want someone or you’re taken that’s fine but be kind. Don’t kill their confidence to ask someone else.

I would say that depends on each person and what their individual issues are. I for one don't think I'm rude. But I think it would be fair to say I'm fairly ambivalent about it. And that's because men generally endure about 10 times the rejection women do. So I always try to remember the woman I'm rejecting has statistically already rejected 10 other guys like me. So why on earth would I feel bad for her? I mean on some level I do feel bad.

I hate it, but occasionally some level of rudeness is the only thing that works to get someone off your back.

It is how society wants rejection to be. If we are nice, they may get the false impression that we are not serious in are form of rejection towards this person.
