i assume you're in america (i'm in england) so i don't know the culture over there
but from what i do know, some guys (especially late teens, through to 30s, with most guys) we don't really understand how girls work, and we react with testosterone, and sometimes rage.
i, myself have always been quite placid and respectful to girls, unless i've been mistreated. sometimes the way i am can hurt a girl (i have a fat fetish and i'm open about it, this can sometimes end up hurting my girlfriend) but i'm never an outright dick on purpose

I don't know what kind of men you are interacting with, but I suggest you start seeking better company. This is such a general statement. I have some wonderful, very respectful men in my life. I actually know very few men who just go around disrespecting and being rude to women. Perhaps you are doing something to encourage this behavior, because in general, I find men to be much more pleasant than most women I know.
