Yes for sure. You have to remember your kids are watching everything.. And they are little sponges, so you want a good guy in your life? That respects your kids the same way that he respects you.
And if you lower your standards that's not gonna happen and what will probably happen is the guy will be selfish. Anyway, not really see your kids. It's been anything but kids instead of looking ahead and understanding that he is a part of their life's too and he has to be able to project learning experiences that are positive not negative

All single moms are different but I think for moms that are responsible priorities shift away from only herself to her kid (s) if the right guy comes along he comes along. But at the same time most are focusing on raising and supporting their kid or kids.

Only irresponsible women would keep sleeping around and getting into relationships with the same trashy men though some do.

Well you have more responsibilities so you have to be more discerning about who you let into your life.

Having said that, there are MANY people who don't want to be anywhere near a single mom for whatever reasons of theirs. Don't take it personally. They're idiots functioning on stereotypes.

Probably. Most men are not worth your time and now with a kid, you have to raise your standards somewhat just to play it safe.

you dont have a choice but to have higher standards you need the man's money to live comfortably. Or you're going to be stuck living in poverty waiting for your deadbeat ex to send the child support money.

Not high standards per say but adjusted standards. Its less about your own satisfaction and selfishness. Now you have to look for a man that will be a good husband and father
